A twist on the original fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid," by Hans Christian Andersen, Saltwater Song introduces a bright and bustling underwater kingdom where tears have been locked away by the Sea Queen. When one stubborn rule-breaking mermaid sneaks to the surface and chooses to save a stranded child, her splash of courage unlocks long-hidden magic to bring back tears, truth, and a whole new harmony between land and sea.
Saltwater Song is an original musical from RPL's series of "New Musicals for a New Generation" with all-new musical arrangements for the 2026 production.
